The humanitarian crisis in the Middle East escalated over the weekend with Israel beginning a ground invasion against Hamas, the militant group that controls Gaza. For the California based humanitarian aid group Mercy Corps, the military operation is complicating logistics and security. Brian Bahouth has the story.

The gathering is part of some 30 rallies happening in cities across the nation intended to encourage president elect Barack Obama to remember the needs of low and middle income workers when writing his jobs creation plan.
