Spring 2009 Membership Drive

We always knew KVMR listeners were winners!

Vance Dickenson winner of a new Yuba Mundo Cargo BikeHere's six-year member Vance Dickenson holding his new Yuba Mundo Cargo Bike, which Vance won in the grand prize drawing that ended our June membership drive June 15th. So be sure to give Vance his share of the road if you happen to spot him in and around his home in Citrus Heights.

Overall, our June membership drive drew 945 pledges for over $93,500 in contributions to KVMR -- including some 157 listeners choosing to become member/supporters of KVMR for the very first time. In these challenging economic times, KVMR still managed to raise more than the $88,000 average our spring drives had brought in the previous four years. So that's good news, too, that you folks are standing strong behind us. We sincerely appreciate your confidence and solidarity. Thanks.

"Hey! How do I get better reception?"

David Levin, KVMR's General ManagerWe share the frustration of any listener who may be challenged receiving KVMR 89.5 FM. Let me first point out that the reasons may be different for different listeners-some may be an easy fix and the others may not. Some may be challenged by geography, while some may be affected by a nearby radio station on or next to the same frequency as ours.

Here are some suggestions for improving your reception of KVMR. Keep in mind that the following are general suggestions and that every situation is unique. Start with the simple and work your way up. Click here for the full article . . .

We encourage listners to offer their own ideas and suggestions to help others get better KVMR reception; email your ideas to David Levin, our General Manager, at; gm @ kvmr.org
